Why I started BeautyJar
BeautyJar began with my own search. As my skin changed with shifting hormones, I wanted someone who could help me look refreshed and care for my skin over time. I found beautiful websites and inspiring social media pages, and wanted to learn more about the people behind them—their backgrounds, their approach and what a visit might feel like.
Choosing whom to trust with your face is personal. I wanted a place where you could get to know a provider before reaching out. That search became BeautyJar.
A little more about the people and practices.
The professionals. Licensed medical providers: physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and registered nurses, with each credential explained in plain language.
The practical details. Treatments, locations and booking links, plus starting prices, consultation fees, languages, payment options, and new-patient and virtual consultation availability when practices share them.
A closer look. Spotlight pages share more of a provider’s story through expanded biographies, Provider Q&A, galleries and optional videos.
Five treatment categories. Injectables, Skin + Laser, Body Contouring, Hair Restoration and Aesthetic Recovery, with providers in the US and internationally.
Memberships and Featured placement.
Providers pay a flat monthly membership, with no per-inquiry or booking fees. A Featured label identifies a Spotlight membership, the higher paid tier with additional visibility. It describes placement on BeautyJar rather than a clinical rating. The Edit selects its stories independently of membership.
What “Credential Checked” means.
1. Understanding the credential check
Before publishing a provider’s page, BeautyJar checks applicable credentials against the appropriate licensing or registration source. Credentials are rechecked once a year. If a license is suspended, revoked or expires, the listing is made inactive until it has been resolved. Credential Checked reflects the information confirmed at the time of review. Explore our credential sources.
2. Finding the right fit for you
Credentials are one part of getting to know a provider. A review confirms professional status at the time checked; it does not assess clinical skill or guarantee results. When you’re ready, a consultation gives you space to talk about your goals, ask about their experience and decide whether the practice feels right for you.
Where credential information comes from.
Credential requirements vary by profession and location. We use the relevant licensing and professional sources to review provider information. You can explore these resources too, whenever you’d like to learn more. Licensing registers confirm professional registration or licensure; certification sources address specific credentials. Professional associations and research resources provide additional context and do not replace a licensing check.
