Our approach
BeautyJar publishes educational and editorial content about medical aesthetics. Our goal is to make treatment information easier to research, understand and discuss with a qualified provider.
We aim for content that is clear, useful and grounded in credible medical, regulatory and professional sources.
Our sources
When researching treatment and health-related content, BeautyJar may consult sources such as:
- peer-reviewed medical and scientific literature;
- government health and regulatory agencies;
- professional licensing and registration authorities;
- recognized medical and professional organizations;
- official product labeling and safety information; and
- qualified professionals with relevant subject-matter experience.
The appropriate sources vary by topic. BeautyJar does not treat social-media popularity, marketing claims or anecdotal results as substitutes for credible evidence.
Evidence and uncertainty
Not every treatment, device or wellness topic has the same quality or amount of evidence. When evidence is limited, evolving or mixed, our editorial approach is to avoid presenting uncertainty as settled fact.
We may distinguish between established uses, emerging practices, professional opinion and areas where evidence remains limited.
Medical information
BeautyJar content is informational and educational. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
Treatment decisions depend on individual medical history, goals, risks and other factors that cannot be evaluated through general editorial content.
Provider perspectives
BeautyJar may include interviews, quotations, Q&As or professional perspectives from providers and other qualified sources. A professional’s participation does not mean BeautyJar endorses that person’s practice, services or clinical recommendations.
Professional commentary may be edited for length and clarity while preserving its intended meaning.
Editorial independence
BeautyJar maintains editorial discretion over The BeautyJar Edit, the BeautyJar Library and other editorial content.
Purchasing a BeautyJar provider membership does not purchase favorable editorial coverage, a positive review or control over BeautyJar’s editorial conclusions.
Spotlight membership may include enhanced visibility and presentation features as described in the membership offering. Paid placement and editorial judgment are treated separately.
Commercial relationships
If BeautyJar publishes sponsored, paid, affiliate or otherwise commercially supported content, we will identify the commercial relationship in a manner appropriate to the content and applicable requirements.
Commercial relationships do not change our responsibility to avoid false or misleading health and treatment claims.
Provider profiles
Provider profiles are different from BeautyJar editorial articles. Providers submit information about their credentials, specialties, treatments, practices and professional background for their profiles.
BeautyJar may edit profile material for clarity, formatting and presentation. Providers remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of the professional claims and materials they submit.
Credential Check
BeautyJar may compare selected professional credential information submitted by a provider against a publicly available licensing or registration source before publication.
Credential Check is limited in scope and is not an editorial endorsement, accreditation or assessment of treatment quality, competence or suitability.
Images and results
Images used in editorial content may be illustrative unless otherwise identified. Before-and-after photographs and treatment results can vary significantly from person to person and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of outcome.
Where an image is supplied by a provider or third party, the source remains responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to provide it for publication.
Corrections and updates
Medical evidence, product information, regulations and professional guidance can change. BeautyJar may revise or update published content when material information changes or when we identify a meaningful error.

What BeautyJar does not do
BeautyJar does not sell rankings, guarantee favorable editorial coverage, diagnose medical conditions or choose treatments for readers. Our role is to provide a useful place to discover providers and research the questions surrounding care.
