About these terms
These Provider Terms apply to professionals and practices that apply for, purchase or maintain a profile or membership on BeautyJar. BeautyJar is operated by Wenley Technologies LLC.
By submitting a provider application or enrolling in a BeautyJar membership, you agree to these Provider Terms and the BeautyJar Terms of Service.
Provider eligibility
BeautyJar may review applications for fit with the platform’s medical aesthetics focus. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
You must provide accurate information about your identity, professional credentials, practice, location, services and other information requested during the application process. You may submit information only for yourself or for a provider or practice you are authorized to represent.
Professional credentials
You are responsible for maintaining all licenses, registrations, certifications, supervision arrangements and other professional requirements applicable to your work and the services you offer.
You must promptly notify BeautyJar if a professional license or registration displayed or relied upon for your profile expires, is suspended, restricted, revoked or otherwise materially changes.
Credential Check
Before publication, BeautyJar compares applicable professional credential information you provide against an appropriate publicly available licensing or registration source. Credentials are rechecked once a year.
Credential Check is limited to the information and source reviewed at the time of the check. It does not constitute an endorsement, accreditation or assessment of your competence, treatment quality, outcomes or overall professional standing.
BeautyJar may request clarification or additional information when submitted credential information cannot reasonably be matched to a public source.
If a license or registration displayed or relied upon for your profile is suspended, revoked, restricted or expires, BeautyJar will make your listing inactive. The listing will be reactivated once the issue has been resolved and confirmed against the appropriate source.
Your profile information
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information submitted for your BeautyJar profile, including your name, credentials, biography, specialties, treatment offerings, practice details, photographs, professional work, website, social media and booking links.
You agree not to submit false, misleading or deceptive claims, content you do not have permission to use, or representations that violate applicable professional, advertising or consumer-protection requirements.
Permission to publish
You retain ownership of content you own and submit to BeautyJar. By submitting that content, you grant BeautyJar and Wenley Technologies LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, crop, resize, format, display and use the content as reasonably necessary to create, operate and promote your BeautyJar profile and the BeautyJar platform.
This permission lasts while the content is used in connection with your profile or BeautyJar’s legitimate archival and business records. It does not transfer ownership of your original materials to BeautyJar.
Profile editing and presentation
BeautyJar may edit submitted material for spelling, grammar, formatting, length, clarity, consistency and visual presentation without changing the substance of your professional claims.
We may decline, remove or request support for information that appears inaccurate, outdated, misleading, inappropriate, unsupported or inconsistent with BeautyJar standards.
Memberships
BeautyJar currently offers two provider membership levels: BeautyJar Profile at $79 per month and BeautyJar Spotlight at $149 per month. The features included with each membership are described on the provider membership page at the time you enroll.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, memberships renew monthly until canceled. Applicable pricing and billing frequency will be shown before payment.
BeautyJar Spotlight
Spotlight includes additional presentation and visibility features described at the time of enrollment. Placement may rotate and may vary by page, category, location, editorial layout or other platform considerations.
Spotlight does not guarantee continuous homepage placement, a particular position, a specific number of impressions or profile views, or inclusion in editorial coverage.
Payment for Spotlight does not purchase favorable editorial coverage. BeautyJar retains editorial discretion over The BeautyJar Edit and other editorial content.
Billing and cancellation
Membership fees are charged through the payment method and payment processor presented at checkout. You authorize recurring charges according to the membership and billing frequency you select until cancellation.
You may cancel your membership to stop future renewals. Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and previously charged membership fees are not prorated for an unused portion of that period.
If a payment fails or remains unpaid, BeautyJar may suspend or remove paid membership features or the provider profile until the account is brought current.
While a listing is inactive because a license or registration has been suspended, revoked, restricted or has expired, BeautyJar will pause membership billing. No membership fees are charged for the inactive period. Billing resumes when the listing is reactivated. If the issue is not resolved within 60 days of the listing becoming inactive, BeautyJar may cancel the membership. You may also cancel at any time during this period.
No guarantee of business results
BeautyJar provides professional presentation and discovery tools. We do not guarantee inquiries, leads, bookings, patients, revenue, search ranking, profile traffic or any other particular business result.
Provider-patient relationship
BeautyJar does not participate in clinical consultations or treatment decisions. Any professional or clinical relationship created after a visitor contacts you is between you or your practice and that individual.
You remain solely responsible for professional judgment, informed consent, patient screening, treatment, documentation, privacy obligations, billing, follow-up care and compliance with laws and professional standards applicable to your practice.
Reviews, complaints and corrections
BeautyJar may investigate credible reports concerning profile accuracy, credential information, misuse of the platform or other matters relevant to maintaining the integrity of BeautyJar. We may contact you for clarification or supporting information.
BeautyJar may correct, temporarily hide or remove information while reviewing a material issue.
Suspension or removal
BeautyJar may decline, suspend or remove a provider profile when reasonably necessary, including for materially inaccurate information, credential concerns, unlawful or misleading content, misuse of the platform, nonpayment, violation of these Terms, or conduct that creates a material risk to BeautyJar or its users.
Removal from BeautyJar does not imply a legal or professional finding against a provider.
Changes to membership features or pricing
BeautyJar may change membership features or pricing as the platform develops. Changes that affect an existing paid membership will be communicated as required by applicable law before they take effect.
Independent relationship
Your participation on BeautyJar does not create an employment, agency, franchise, partnership or joint-venture relationship with BeautyJar or Wenley Technologies LLC. You remain an independent provider or practice.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses or expenses arising from content you submit, your professional services, your violation of these Provider Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
Governing law
These Provider Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Provider Terms as BeautyJar changes. The effective date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
